MOT failure - 10 working days

If my car failed its MOT last saturday, is my 10 working days for free retest up on the 2nd June thanks to the bank holiday?

Yes.

Bank Holidays and Weekends are excluded. Regardless of whether the business is open.

Bear in mind. It's ONLY if the car is repaired where it fails. Not if you took the car away. If you took the car away you have 1 working day. Which was last
Monday of course.

Hmm, my MOT-only station is always more than happy to do a free retest within 10 days having taken it away to be fixed elsewhere. Is it their decision on that, I have used them for years?

Thems the rules. They "CAN" charge a fee for a partial retest. Depending on how much they love you. May alter that.

EDIT TO ADD

The MOT computer when you put in the details for the failure then tells the tester that the time has expired. So he's got no control over the 10 days part. Just whether it was repaired on site or off site.

Well if you have known them for years, surely they would allow you an extra day so you should be okay there...
A garage I used for 5/6 years allowed me to take the car away, get work done elsewhere then take back but they charged for a partial re-test...
