Spaying: Keyhole or Regular?

Hello,

Need to get our 9 month old Golden Cocker, Mischief, done. Had one season at bang on 6 months, Lucky, our 7 year old Collie got very interested even though he was done years ago and we had to give up walking at Virginia Water for a bit as she caused chaos!

Anyway, can anyone let me know the pros and cons of both procedures and is 450 for keyhole a usual price?

We had our golden retriever done via Keyhole & the recovery time seems a lot quicker than the usual way. I think we paid around 400 no lasting scar at all which is good.

Our previous dogs (from what I remember) had it the usual way and I remember lots of stiches and a scar but it went away over time. Cant remember how much it cost though because it was over 20 years ago.
