My handbrake light on my wedge will not light up.it comes on if the brake fluid is low.must be a simple fix.

There's a plastic bodied switch underneath the gaiter which probably needs looking at / adjusting.

Its probably the switch. Mines never worked but I recently got round to looking into it and it was the pressure switch on the handbrake.

you need to lift up the centre console trim to get at it. Mines was fubar so I changed it for something similar from my local factors.

Its exactly the same one as on the brake light (on my car anyway)

Like I said earlier if the handbrake lever has been pulled too hard it can bend over towards the driver, which can stop the switch working. You just have to push the lever over a bit so it's vertical.
