My wife has a 2000 bettle 2.0ltr. it seems to blow out a lot of black smoke more like carbon than oil as it is not buring to much. The car runs fine but at about 60 mph it gives a little judder and some times in the lower rev range. Any Ideas whats causing this.
Well I suggest you take your "newbie" to a garage as smoke like that isn't going to be a home-fix I suspect.
One the other hand, please note that "oldie" Beetles belch oily smoke like air pollution never happened... perhaps your car is trying too hard to recreate the original car?
