Hi steve, we've got 3 cars booked there on the 9th of June , it's a good place to learn your car and find the limit safely, you'll enjoy it but you'll be wanting your second time out at combe I would think. Took my noble around both in that order, Jason
Cheers Jason,I have been to Combe in my Elise on my only other trackday.I found that quick enough there so was a bit apprehensive about taking the noble there first up.See you on the 9th hopefully. What are you in?Steve
Keevil is a great track only been once but need to go back . Cant afford it this time but if anyone is going in july let me no and ill come along
I wouldn't recommend cutting the foam out of a crash helmet .can you not lower the seat .or if there is any headlining in the roof remove that

Any idea how to make a helmet fit when I only have about an inch above my head in the car without one on.thought it would be ok,but have just tried it and it won't work! Can I cut the foam out?
There is one simple rule for modifying crash helmets - don't!!Move the seat back, lower the seat, recline the seat, add an extender boss to the wheel, but for Christ's sake, don't dick around with your helmet.
I'm 6'4", so understand the problem, but I have always managed to get into and drive cars without messing around with essential safety gear.
As for Keevil, it's a great place and MSE are a great bunch to deal with, so get it booked and snuggle down in the seat a bit.
