One last trip!!
Discussion
I'm sure we all do it - when we have decided to let go of a car we have really bonded with - one last good run on favoured roads is a way of ending on a high.
So here is mine with my PnJ.
Day One: Glasgow to Reims - just under 700 miles of motorway but shows such a capable mile eater a 911 can be.
Day Two: When in Reims the Old GP Pits is a must.

Then down through France into Switzerland without touching the motorways - some fun country roads.
Day Three: Montreux to Monaco via Martigny Chamonix and Route de Napoleon
Pay respect to Freddie at breakfast

Weather looks great so off into the Alps

Route de Napoleon deserves its reputation as a great driving road

Day Four: Monaco GP Qualy

Bad day for Massa - the walk of shame - and recovery too

Porsche Cup race tomorrow morning so will try and get some snaps.....

Day Seven: The Ultimate Driving Day
If I'm honest the entire 3000+ mile trip is based on doing this day - I had a series of passes I had either enjoyed before or had missed out on because they were closed.
In order of the planned route:
Stelvio
Fuorn
Offenpass
Fleula
San Bernardino
Spugel
Today was my lucky day - passed through Bormio saying Stelvio was open. Got to the police stop and managed to convince the nice man that I would take it easy and as the car was AWD I would not get stuck - off I went.
There were only about another 3 cars on the pass the whole way - one Gallardo with a UK reg going the opposite way.
The top was full of cyclists but no cars moving so I pressed on all the way down into Switzerland side with the snow plough and gritter being the only traffic.
On reaching the other side the pass had now been closed to all traffic - hence the quiet run...............bargain.
Some pics later!
