Forge Actuator Springs
Discussion
Manufacturer spring ratings:
No 8 Green - 5-10 PSI / 0.3-0.7 BAR
No 10 Yellow - 9-15 PSI / 0.6-1.0 BAR
No 12 Blue - 14-18 PSI / 1.0-1.2 BAR
No 14 Red - 17.5-20 PSI / 1.2-1.4 BAR
Actual ratings when fitted (using lower rating as a comparison as on a 2.5 so no boost control):
No 8 Green - 4.5 PSI / 0.3 BAR
No 10 Yellow - 7.5 PSI / 0.5 BAR
No 12 Blue - 12 PSI / 0.8 BAR
Not got to Red as fitted a manual bleed valve and got up to a 2 PSI increase to get to the 14 PSI I was aiming for
Basically, if fitting these to a 2.5 don't bother with the stock or green 'upgrade' springs usually supplied with the standards - you will need the blue springs just to get back to the standard 0.7 BAR set-up from the original actuators
