Very old, not a good engine. Might not even have power steering.

Just traded a 2003 1.0 Corsa with 110,000 on the clock. Got 550 for it. (Book price)

Are you sure it's 16V? Ours had a 3 cylinder engine. 12V maybe?

Well been told it could be worth two grand to someone wanting to do it up... Just because of the low mileage. I didn't believe it at first but my mate today started speaking about Performance Vauxhall and basically said the same thing.

Snatch their hand off etc etc.

2k gets you a lot of car these days. Not sure a 16 year old Corsa is really top of that many people's lists.

An s reg corsa with a 1.0litre engine in good condition and low mileage for year, like your 22,000 miles would never be worth 2k at this time.youd struggle to get more than 600 quid.

A 98 Corsa 1.0 will be the 12V three cylinder engine not the 16V. My son had the same age and capacity Corsa for a while and it was OK but certainly nothing to get excited about. That had done 34,000 miles, was a two owner car and fetched 1,250 about five years ago.
Keep buying your lottery ticket as the chances of getting rich quick are much higher that way.

Is this another one of those "my mechanic says" stories?

Whos going to "do up" a one litre corsa?

If its as valuable as that, bung it on ebay with no reserve, you'll have people wanting to spend thousand's going mad on it.

Not.
