"Barnfind " adds 25% to the price....
I'd say 50% overpriced.
50% overpriced??
I'd say 50% overpriced.
It needs two fortunes spent - new wings, various panels resprayed, boot floor sorted, etc, etc.
Heres one with all that done for 2500.

I love these 80s Fords, but talk about chancing your luck. It doesn't look like it's been in a barn, it looks like it's been rotting in a field. It needs a fortune spent on it. I love how the advert says they "haven't tried to start it" due to being busy - IE, we are pretty sure it won't run and even if it did, it would do more harm than good. I would imagine you'd want to rebuild the engine if you were recommissioning it anyway.
Also "no brakes sticking on", a binding brake is what, a few hours work at most and can be fixed for a few quid. Good luck with the welding, engine rebuild, shagged suspension etc.

I stumbled across an Audi S3 Avant the other day.
A 2004 car with around 100k on the clock and it was priced at nearly 34k.
Is that really what they are worth as it appeared rather expensive to me for a 10 year old car?
Typo shirley ?A 2004 car with around 100k on the clock and it was priced at nearly 34k.

No idea what it's worth but not 34K.
Delusion IMHO.
This bit made me smile
As another poster said, it looks like it has been sitting in a field not a barn.
Also, no mention of any documentation, history etc. Just a V5C. So who knows whether the mileage is genuine.
If it was in timewarp condition then it would be a good price. It clearly isn't. Having said that, this end of the market doesn't always behave rationally, and all they need is 1 person who has the money and wants it badly enough...

Really? More likely the engine is in such poor condition that they don't want to risk it.As another poster said, it looks like it has been sitting in a field not a barn.

To make it concours yes, but still a runner and very viable for half the price. Also, it was the very first one i found, not holding it up as a standard for all others to be judged or anything.
I'd say 2K+ would buy you something decent and usable. 4K+ and i'd be looking something out of the ordinary - certainly not a rot box like that.
