Just stopped at the Rolex section of the duty free shop in Schiphol where they had a new and old Sea Dweller next to each other.

What confused me was the pricing.

The old Sea Dweller was priced at EUR8,100 whilst the new version was priced at EUR7,050.

Unfortunately I had no time to stop and ask or try anything on - but is this pricing correct ??

Was it a "new" old Sea Dweller? They stopped making the old one a few years ago, so it can only be used, or NOS.
Not quite sure why the older one would be priced higher than the new one mind you.

More likely to be a DSSD and an SD4000...

This ^^

No chance of a 16600 being sold new at an airport!

Looking forward to seeing them both side by side at some point...

Thanks guys.

The woman in the shop was pretty sure that it was the new Sea Dweller with ceramic bezel but maybe not.

I'll have another look when I fly home on Wednesday

I'm sure it was the 'new' Sea-Dweller ceramic. Just that the 'old' one was the Sea-Dweller Deepsea, not the Sea-Dweller with metal bezel.

Complicated stuff... laugh
