I spend a lot of time driving, at least 100 to 300 miles a day 5 days a week yet today has been beyond the norm.

I spent 2 hours driving and in that time saw 5 cars deliberately run red lights, 1 even drove around me to pass through the red light. A chap behind in his lovely battered transit decided he couldn't wait for me to turn right so just drove along the pavement to turn left, god knows how many on phones, deliberately cut up on a roundabout as he laughed pulling across the nose of my car.

Seriously, what is wrong with people? It got to the point with the bloke pulling across me at the roundabout I actually thought if I tap my accelerator I'll plough in to the side of him then watch the smug s smile disappear. Do I need to take a chill pill or are driving standards rapidly deteriorating?

I think that you will find its the latter.
Red lights don't seem to mean STOP anymore...
Too many mongs on the roads nowadays.... People are not taught to drive anymore, just how to pass the test...

I see loads of drivers running red lights on my lengthy commutes. They seem to treat them as a major inconvenience to their journey time as opposed to safety for other road users and flow of traffic.

Agreed on the lights front. Last time I stopped on Amber (Safely, i'd barely moved off from the previous set) the woman behind me didn't register id stopped until the point of having to swerve into the next lane.

Then she gave me the finger. People expect you to go through on Amber these days, and even red. The police should be clamping down on it, rather than enforcing ridiculous speed limits. Running a red is far more likely to hurt someone else in my opinion.

Well, they weren't speeding were they, so what's the problem?
