The fixed alcantara ones - any idea as to wether they'll fit the 987 Spyder?

Thanks

They will certainly fit physically, though I don't think that they were ever a factory offering on the 987. The question mark is to whether the lack of airbags would pose an issue (the folding buckets and conventional seats have thorax airbags but the fixed ones do not). Given the degree of commonality between the 987 and 997 my opinion is that you will be fine but I couldn't say for sure (and I don't know whether that would be a coding setup with a diagnostic terminal or whether something would need to be fiddled with in the wiring loom).

If genuine, those seats are significantly underpriced though. Get in quick if you want them or a dealer looking to score some free money certainly will.

You can buy those seats for less money brand new as they are replicas,
The seller told me they were a more expensive replica when I enquired but when asked what make they were He suddenly went silent and didn't respond to the email.

Design 911 do them as do euro up gt , brand new about 425 + vat per seat.

they will fit

you would need to get the thorax airbags coded out with PIWIS to avoid a CEL

He told me they cost 1500 new.

Perhaps he really ought to amend his advert to state they aren't genuine.

Very misleading and annoying advert then.

They are 14k after all.
