Hi all,
I'm new to the forums and been looking at a gallardo for sale on eBay. It won't
It won't let me copy the link but here's the item no. 181413875664

I've been there every things looks fine but the member on eBay has bad feedback on this item simply saying its a con?
So I've hpi checked it and everything matches and it's all clear?
What are people's thoughts and are they any inspections I can get done so I have some sort of comeback it if did turn out to be dodgy in 2 months time?
Also anything I should be looking out for with this sort of age and mileage?

Thanks in advance!!!!!

it got serviced 600 miles ago, and one assumes main dealer tyres and clutch 400 miles ago. give lambo Sevenoaks service department a call, they wont tell you owners name etc and amount spent, but should feedback re state of the car if your nice.... unlikely much will have changed since then of they were recent..... only caution would be if they were say 1 year ago so mileage done/yr is suddenly very low

It's actually done 12500 miles and it's is due a service on time not mileage....
I've got all the service history so I was going to phone the dealers tomorrow....
It seems cheap to me? And maybe to good to be true?

not cheap.... I sold my 07 coupe with 15k for 80k and Sevenoaks just shifted a 07 coupe with 13k for 77k... include sold prices on the classifieds here to benchmark..... there is a 07 car at supercar rooms to benchmark too..... if it was 70k then i'd call it cheap....

service is 7500k miles or 1 year, whichever comes sooner... which is usually time with Gallardo's....
if all checks out, why too good..... the guy that got my car got a gem, and he's still in touch.

what I mean by mileage was say its done a regular amount x/year, then suddenly since the last service its time x/2 in a similar time frame.... that would concern me... driven 1500 miles the tyres should be evenly worn front to back and maybe down to 6mm depth minimum, get a clutch read too

re the con bit, maybe someone went to see it and they couldn't agree a deal, so retribution by feedback...

if the car checks out, and all the paperwork, do a chaps transfer with the seller and then wait with the car til banks confirm it is yours.......

a lot depends on if you judge the person to be good.... I bought privately and he had the money hours before I picked up, similarly when I sold privately, he paid me by cheque, which cleared 3 days before I delivered, and both inspection and handover were done in carparks!! if the vibe you get is negative, two words of caution....
check with HPI if their guarantee covers for log book loans
odd that he's never sold anything on ebay at all, bar a Gallardo.... I've sold loads on ebay, but put my car on pistonheads.

car is in luton, get seller to bring it to Bedford, and i'll look over it if you want with you

No worries mate any advice is more than welcome!!!!
I'm actually buying it for a film shoot as I supply branded vehicles! But I'm not thinking of keeping it if I can get it for the right money! Amazing looking car!!!!

Also it's very loud? He said its standard exhausts and lambo charged him 100 to half the flaps opened and it's as simple as that? Is that normal?????? Or could it do damage?
Sorry ode the complete novice questions!!!!

yes, keeping flaps open is a simple mod, infact 100 is a rip off... doesn't damage the engine, lots of owners do it...

I'm 99% sure this is the same one I went to look at early last year in Luton. Jan was trying to sell it back then for an Asian guy living locally. Only odd thing was the owner had a 3-bed terraced house in not a particularly nice part of Luton with this on the drive. That aside, car seemed okay - owner drove it like he'd stolen it on the test drive. Interior put me off in the end. I assume it sold in the end but if it's the same car has stayed local by the looks of it.

if you are getting evap rec system codes more than likely the pipe has split on the 90 degree bend.
Standard radiator hose from memory so a £5 fix if you do it yourself.
