Taking in the route Nap in July anyone recommend a hotel?

It's not long enough to need a stop along the way!

I'd take abbaye de la bussiere or chateaux gilly both up near Dijon and then blast down to Monaco in a day.

Find a place in Grenoble (anywhere will do) it's the natural starting point. Find another in Monte Carlo (it needn't be expensive). End the day having supper at the Cafe de Paris in casino square

Agreed - you won't want to stop so stay in Grenoble and then find another hotel in Grasse/Cannes
