Afternoon,

One of my mates, who now lives abroad, is selling his Subaru Impreza as he won't be coming back anytime soon. It's an estate or whatever Subaru call them.

He's owned it since new and fitted a Scooby Sport exhaust and short shift before it left the dealer, so also has the original unused parts which he'll include. Important details below.

So what do I need to know\check? Anyone want to suggest a value?

Subaru Impreza 2.0 Turbo, 5 Door , 4WD,
Registered 27 Oct 1999, Dark Blue
67,869 miles (one owner from new)
Taxed and MOTd
Taxed - Oct 14
MOT 8 Nov 14

well that's low mileage. and they are called wagons biggrin

belts and sparks should be done at 60k iirc.
rear arches are known for rust and should be checked.
check service history and see if the oil has been changed every 10k.

bar that do the normal car checks.

wagons tend to be cheaper than saloons, so i'd say aneywhere between 1200 and 3k depending on condition.

If it's a genuine and well cared for car then it could be towards the top end of classic values - maybe 3.5k? I'd lowball at 2k and see where you get. Nice colour, last of them so they're easier to map and tune, and the brakes should be the later style 4 pots and larger sliding single pot rears.

Wagon.. that's the one smile

Thanks for that. It's been a few years since I've seen the car, but been told the SH is up to date. Will need to go round and have a look at it. No problem giving it a little TLC if required.
