I have just had an auto electrician out to look at my Tamora as the passenger door and window aren't operating (well, the window goes down but not up again) He checked the connections and found nothing wrong, then swapped the driver's module across and it worked perfectly. Doing a Google search I found people mentioning 'reed switches' does anyone know if I would need a whole new module? Thanks

I wonder if it may be worth just taking it out (the module), and sending it off to this guy to be repaired/refurbished?

Not sure if I have exactly the same problem, but there is a small micro switch behind the chrome strike plate, this tells the computer if the door is open or closed, and drops the window accordingly. If it is broken, you will also not be able raise the window if it is already in the down position.

If you disconnect the switch, the window will go up and down normally, but the glass won't drop when you open the door. The wiring and plug can be accessed by pulling the carpet back near to the strike plate and in front if the trim that covers the seat belt reel.

I believe Racing Green have replacement switches.

Doesn't sound like the switch otherwise swapping ecu wouldn't fix it.
Faulty switch would show "door open" on dash screen even when closed. I've had this today and had to adjust the microswitch.
