Do you have to register your interest for this event or just turn up?

Looks like a great car meet so hoping to go along with a few nice motors.

Just turn up, a good do. Nice cars get into the main event, more humble stuff parks a bit further out.

Do they have a few chaps on the gate directing you where to go?

Finally, if selected to go in to the main show ground can you still come and go as you please or is there an expectation you'll stay to the end?

yes they usher you into the main event if you have a car that's worthy. other mundane cars get sent to the car parks, you can come and go as you please, but it gets very busy and getting in and out of the main show is a bit of a log jam,

That is what I was worried about. Don't wish to waste time being stuck in heavy traffic.

We( 3 x Caterhams and a Boxster) are travelling down from the Normandy beaches on Friday am and were planning to attend the GBW, arriving around 1.00pm - will it all be over by then i.e. is it an am or an all day event?

Goes on most of the day. Not like a Sunday Service where its all breaking up before 12.

Bear in mind the Friday Service down near the Porsche Curves as well the same day.

Where exactly is the Friday servicing meeting? That may be more sensible and is accessible on foot from my campsite at White Rabbit.

There's another thread on this but its by the large roundabout near the Porsche Curves on the Route Ruadin

Found it. Many thanks. As that is so close to my campsite I may just head out for a hoon Friday AM before heading up to the PH meet. I can then easily find Arnage later for a number of cold beverages.

Don't worry too much about traffic. I've been a number of times in heat sensitive cars and I've never had a problem. They manage traffic flow very well and you will not have a problem. To be honest it's the best organised, most interesting petrolhead event I've ever had the pleasure of attending.
I wish i could go this year but the big white bus I'll be in won't get me privileged access. Don't shout to loudly about it though or they'll all turn up!

Anyone who knows me knows I like a good map.

This isn't a good map I've created but hopefully it'll point you in the right direction if you haven't been CBW before. smile

This shows it pretty well.
Organizers like you to go in on the Blue route and out on the brown route

Does anybody know if their is any disabled parking closer to the action, if not I will stop at the entrance and let them out and park up and then walk back.
