Was anyone else at Bedford SEN on the 26th?
Discussion
Hello all - I booked this on a whim last week, and forgot to ask if any other PH'ers were going!
Despite the rain, I had a great time in my Celica - only span once, but saw a lot of other spins - usually about 50 yards in front of me
There was an interesting range of cars out there - I was stunned by just how fast those 911 GT3-RS's were!

I was there! Not ideal conditions in the morning but at least it dried up a bit in the afternoon. I was in the red Clio 197.

Cheers, Jon

I was in the white GT3. It was my first time out on track for a year after a neck operation, I'd forgotten how much fun track days are...
You can see in my footage me desperately (and failing) trying to keep up with you at around 2 minutes into my clip. Your GT3 looked excellent.Heres me chasing my buddy in his gen 1 997RS in my Gen 2 997RS, and a 1min 50 second lap for both of us, ps: red GT86 at 58s.

That was brilliant! A group of us were there in MX-5's and a Megane. A friend in a blue/green Mk1, and me, my brother and my dad in a silver Mk2.
The Mk2 was a bit hopeless in the wet as the shoulders of the tyres had all but worn away. The Mk1 seemed mostly unaffected except for coming out of the hairpin that leads on to the back straight.

My best lap in the Mk2 after it dried up a lot was a low 2:04 as timed in a video editor. That was with easing off ever so slightly on the straights to keep away from my friends MX-5 through 'the flick', but the camera was in the Mk1 when I had my own stint, so I'm not sure how well I did. It wouldn't have been any lower than a 2:03 though.

Unfortunately this stint was cut short due to oil starvation on the Mk1, which is now being rebuilt due to engine damage. Thanks to 'RightyTighty' for helping us out with oil. We'll bring our own emergency kit next time and maybe be able to return the favour to someone else.
In the end it had to be towed home.
There are more videos from the event on my YouTube channel where you might be able to spot your own car.
Hope we didn't hold anyone up too much in the wet, but it really was like a pig on ice!

And yes... He has been made fully aware of his gear-stick gripping shenanigans after these videos were first put on the TV :P
That's why it's always worth including the driver in any videos you do I think. He never even realised he was doing it till his hand hurt later on in the day.

That's awesome! Any more footage, and any plans to put it on YouTube?I've made a Bedford SEN 26/05/14 public playlist that I'm adding everything I can find from the day on to:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7jJi_ewVES...
You guys had a great turnout. If it hasn't been my wife's birthday I may have been there. Bedford is my destination of choice.
Any of you CSL / GT3 drivers going to Bedford on 26th July? Bigger circuit and I rarely see any of your types at the days I go to!
In the meantime, whilst viewing the channel you set up, I found this impressive smash posted this month: (clearly the GT circuit) http://youtu.be/unEONw5-x9s
