Hi All,

I just took delivery of a 2009 Turbo which is currently insured through the Porsche 7 Drive Away insurance via Marsh / Aviva.

I have been shopping around for insurance - prices seem to vary greatly - from 262 to nearly 2000. Porsche insurance (Marsh) is coming in at 780 (which includes up to 2 track days on request). More importantly it guarantees genuine parts with Porsche approved repairers in the event of an accident.

To save me phoning every company in regards to the genuine parts / approved repairers I would appreciate comments of anyone's experiences.

The cheapest company was Hastings Direct at 262 but being so cheap it does make you wonder....

I have no issues in paying more for something if the service / product is better.

Appreciate all input.

Regards
Ryan.

Hi 82RG,

I'm confident we won't be anywhere near that Hastings price, but I'm happy to have a look into a quote for you, if you'd like.

Thanks,

Ash

Points to perhaps consider may hinge on agreed value or otherwise , whether any other cars are to be insured but mainly the cheaper you go the more stress or hassle you may get post claim - obviously a happy medium but the cheapest cannot possibly offer you the same experience post claim ! Admiral are excellent at providing a cheap price year 1 which will then increase year 2 but you can negotiate and their issuance of all paperwork is very impressive but I would always worry about that claim service - that said I insure my 2 boys cars with them given the values involved which is perhaps the key issue.
