Hi guys, having some problems with one of my electric windows in the 308 GTB.
I had them recently refurbed with new motors and they worked about as good as you would expect for an old Ferrari. However the passenger side window stopped working after being used twice. And naturally, its stopped working in the fully down position!!!
I've got the door panel off and when trying to operate I can hear a click somewhere in the door when pressing the switch to operate, so theres obviously something getting to the motor. Any ideas what could be the problem? I'd rather fix myself than take back to the garage that did the refurb as its a fair trip away and not got the time.

Be careful - if the cable unravels off the spool it can be a nightmare to get reassembled
Is the problem with both switches to that side (rules out switch)
You could check how many volts the motor is seeing
Another check is a poor earth on the bolt on the front inside of the door frame (remove speaker for best access)
If you have the window winding tool at least you'll be able to take it back up til a proper fix

Sadly I dont have the 'tool' to wind back up manually. Anyone know what its meant to look like as I could probably fabricate one at work?
I've taken the speaker out already so will have a feel around inside for the earth. May take the switches out too, do they just lift out or is there a knack to removing them?

Its a handle which goes in the hole behind the 1 inch circular cover and then you push to engage - maybe a large flat screwdriver will do it too - try google images - or Ebay eBay item number: 161123355890
The switches have two small clips - fairly easy to remove but you can check the wires are attached from underneath

Ah, that ebay number item looks a little bit more complicated. Need to get the window up for tomorrow night so I can use the car and doubt it'll arrive from the states by then.... not that I fancy shelling out £104 for that!
Does anyone on here have one that could take some good photos and measurements so I could reproduce them? Doubt anyone would want to pay that money for them.

10 PH points to that man!With there being a clicking noise in the door when pressing the switch I thought that there was obviously power getting to the window mechanism so unlikely to be with the switch. However remembered your comment after a bit more unsuccessful prodding and poking and decided to test the switches by swapping them around. Must have been a bad contact as both windows then started working!
Guessing it must have been a bit of dirt on one of the contacts that was removed as I unplugged/replugged.
Anyway, both windows now up and door card reinstalled so I can make it to tonights supercardriver meet!

Glad you got to the root of the problem, but it's good to have the winding tool to hand.
Mine was to be found in the glove compartment.
