Google "Keighley Trade Centre". That's their previous moniker.

Barge pole.

Too many horror stories to even bother.

Thanks for the tip. I've just Googled them, and see what you mean. Dealer aside, can anyone give me any background surrounding this car? I could always get a reputable trader to negotiate a deal for me, if the car is ok.

I heard it was purchased by someone, and the dealer was taken to court and the dealer was forced to buy it back again. There were hints that it needed about £30k spending on it. When I was looking into buying a Murci a year ago I looked quite deeply into that cars history, as I was offered it at a too good to be true price. Every Indy I spoke to told me to stay well clear of it.

was a bit shabby inside, as was the yellow one they had when I saw it last year.

They had a large amount of Gallardos in then too.

I knew the reputation when I visited, but I was going to look, not to buy on that day.

Thanks for the comments Dave and Dolittle. When you looked into the car's history, what were the main concerns? Also £30k worth of attention sounds grim. Any idea what work is required. There is also an orange Murci at BHP. Did you look at that one Dolittle?

I did look at the BHP one, not in the flesh, but I discounted it because I would not have been able to live with the interior. I would have considered it if I could have got it for the price it was advertised in car and classic. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C302951. But they wouldnt sell it at that price, which is strange, as I informed them of the price differential a year ago and. Its still up at that price. So in car and classic its, £79,995 and on their. website it's £87,995.

I cant remember what I was told that needed doing to the other car, I just remember being told it has a very shady history and to run a mile. I guess thats why it hasnt sold.

Thank you Dolittle. I agree about the rather garish interior colours. I do like Arancio Atlas as an exterior colour though.

Yup, but sold. There's a private sale on autotrader in yellow, 55 plate which looks nice too. I'd consider it if my job hadn't fallen through...

That one at Furlongers looks mint, but I have been told that it is sold. Real wide spread of prices for early manual Murcies. £75k to over £100k. I guess you get what you pay for. Is £100k really the going rate for an early car now?

This has just come on at Targa Florio Cars:

Think the white bodywork is a wrap. Looks good value at that price considering what's around.

I'm intrigued as to why the car at top gear (Carlo) hasn't sold. It seems nice with good spec.

I tried to see the orange one at BHP before I bought mine but the owner is very reluctant to sell. Massive waste of time as I waited 2 months to try view the car.

Targa Florio had that up for sale a good two years ago. It is a wrap, on sale or return, like 95% of their stock.

There is a rumor of another manual LP640 coming on the market
