As you can probably guess from the title I'm staying in BSJ, wondering if there's any specific spots that are better to aim for or more importantly areas to keep clear of...

We could tell you - but then we'd have to shoot you...

Seriously we've been two years previously.

We've learnt to recognise hard core europop set-ups and avoid mud..... There are what look like some nice spots in tree's, but selfish twonts tape off half a forest at the front, and there seems to be no reasonable way to access behind....

Bsj is the only camping area left I think. I booked 5 mins ago and they appear to have opened other areas so should be plenty of space.

as a newbie to BSJ, i'd also quite like some tips on where to head for when we arrive. There must be areas to avoid

If you don't mind being away from the home-made potato launchers and explosives then I'd say stick to the back of the site, go past Speed Chills and keep going until you get to the end of the path, camp anywhere close to the path. Last year we had a lot of problems with the mud, but I buried bricks into the ground so I could get out, some weren't so lucky.

My fondest moment was watching a tractor pulling a tractor that was pulling a car.

We saw a gold with a wheel hanging in the air. It had dug it's own grave so far.... Then the was the Q7 which discovered that 4wd was no help when your sill was on the ground....

We've stayed in bsj for a few years now, and have never had problems with excessive noise, only naked Germans! But we camp In the (sort of) fenced areas on the edge of the main camp, so near the allotments by the Porsche curves. Easy walk to most things, and 2 minute walk to the track. There's always a lot of car noise there on the Saturday night, tho - not sure if there's a race going on or something... Tho listening to a corvette is better than euro-techno post-disco hardcore-rave punk music slowly being cranked up to 11 all night! Enjoy

The naked German riding round on the roof of a land rover? West of the site towards porsche curves viewing area is best now in my opinion. Our seventh year at BSJ and without tempting fate never had any issues. Compromise is the further you are from the entrance the more space you can take and more chilled the vibe. Will be interesting to see if the numbers are up this year on the back of porsche. Since Peugeot exited there have been acres of free space at the back of BSJ and if you are lucky someone will "persuade" the fence with a van again allowing a midnight stroll to the outside of Indianapolis

Sounds like absolute hell to me!!

Which is why we stay 25 miles away in a lovely quiet forest campsite.

There's a patch of trees you can camp under that sits near the barn. Bring insect repellant though.

Shade and quiet.

I'll be aiming for there again
