keeps on disconnecting

Was playing cod on the 360 then put BF4 in needed an update then kept on saying you need to be signed in so put cod back on but it was the same don't know if it is just coincidence or what.
anyone know anything i could try?

There is a problem with the Xbox Live service, something to do with Watchdogs, I think it's because so many people have tried to log into Ubisoft's dreadful "Uplay" service it's borked XBL, they're fixing it. You can keep up with updates at http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-live-status

It says there that it's only affecting Ubisoft games but it's not, the whole network has gone wonky. I can get "online" but my friends avatars display as white, featureless generic avatars (a sure sign XBL is on the fritz) and trying to play World of Tanks was impossible because even though the console knows I'm connected the the net, the game thinks I'm not. Check back tomorrow I'd say.
