Remote Oil Filter Mounting

Anyone had any trouble with this in terms of it being a bit loose? Mine is only held on with one bolt as the second one doesn't seem to tighten up . I think the hole for the bolt may be enlarged. I would strip the whole thing but didn't want to leave the car without an oil filter due to air locks etc.

Mines the same. One bolt tight and one a bit loose. Don't see an issue with it as long as there's no leak. Just another of the jobs for the future.......

No leak or anything with mine either Keith....just makes it a bit trickier to remove the oil filter. I'll probably forget all about it until the next time I go to do a filter change!

The bracket doesn't have captive nuts fro the M8 bolts securing the filter housing so they won't tighten unless you put a spanner on the back, it'a another part that has room for significant improvement !

I've tried that, but mine is still is only tightening to a point on one of the bolts. The other is fine. Access is a pig as to be expected!

Ditto. Despite a second spanner on the lower nut it seems that the unthreaded section is a bit too long so the nut runs up tight but in reality could do with another 5mm of thread. New shiny stainless bolts will be purchased (well probably "sourced" from our workshop actually) and installed at some point in the future when the myriad of other jobs have been complete. Might be some time though........
