Hi all, I'm going to a couple of festivals this summer, but all huge commercial events. I'm looking for something a bit like this i guess - http://www.farmfestival.co.uk/

Somewhere i can go with good friends and have good fun drinking and camping in a field somewhere in the west country, and maybe enjoying some lesser known artists, that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg. Any recommendations?

I'd highly recommend Brownstock

Sorry - this is in the east not west....but well worth the trip IMO!

Bookmarked. I'm also in the south west and did The Big Chill a few years ago, was nice, dunno if it's still going....

Never been, but The Bimble Inn is apparently great (according to my Ex who used to visit them at Glastonbury).

I've been to this before, enjoyed it:

It's erm, in Cornwall. When I last went it was somewhere near Liskeard I think.

The Shakedown looks like a bunch of fun, you can even thrash your car around the on-site oval dirt track. Somewhere near Bristol.

Unfortunately this year's event sold out a couple of weeks ago.
