SWMBO has always wanted a mini, got a flyer from a local dealer, brand new 210 down and 210 a month Inc 5 year TLC!!
That seems stupid cheap to me, new model due??
What model is it for? That seems stupid cheap to me, new model due??
New Hatchback model just released... The convertible, Clubman, Paceman and Countryman are still on sale, but previous gen cars, so there will be deals on those to keep them moving.

8K miles per year. That seems stupid cheap to me, new model due??
£210 + 47 @ £210 = £10080
Optional payment £5738.50
Dealer contribution = £800
Option to purchase fee = £10
Total payable, £16618.50
Total payable by customer = £15818.50
Not spotting much of a bargain there for a poverty spec MINI?

you call £210 a month for something being given away?
i have a fridge in my garage i was planning to give away
are you interested ?
Shhhh, don't tell him! As long as there is a fresh supply of people willing to "give away" £210 a month there will be a plentiful supply of very cheap 3-5 year old cars for everyone else!i have a fridge in my garage i was planning to give away
are you interested ?

Yes i did see the final payment, i would just hand it back, TBH the amount its going to lose in those years is more than the payment, and TBH 210 a month is not a lot of cash really..
Minis residual value is through the roof, one of the best in the class i'm sure of it. Would be well worth the 5k final ? you could sell it for nearly double that i would imagine ?I think that is affordable for a lot of people, but cheap would be a £800 banger.
That said, a new car wont need an MOT for three years, wont need consumables for a while, will be pretty economical, shouldnt break down and will be under warranty if it does, will be as a rule lower on VED, looks like the servicing is included as well.
I suspect the £800 banger would be cheaper overall but involves a bit more luck, plus, a lot of people dont want to drive some old turder.

I think for your £210 a month there are better deals to be had - check out the lease deal thread if you plan on handing it back anyway you should look for a lease deal. Also, that deal is reliant on you taking the "standard" car, any extras that you will want will add to the monthly payment as they rarely increase the residual value.
thanks for the comments so far, tbh it would probably save me almost 200 if SWMBO did not take the D4 for every single trip
, a mini would appeal, i have taken a look at the leasing thread nothing on there is really in the same category as the mini, plus the 1 month down on the mini is good as it does not use cash up...
