Chip from 500

I have a chip spare from my 500 from when it was decatted. It has black tape stuck on it so no markings visible other than 'Singapore'. It's about 35 x 12mm with 28 pins - I just wondered whether it has a value or is junk. Thanks!

The basic chip has a value of about £2, but there is no shortage of TVR fuel maps around so dont hold your breath thinking its worth a fortune. Some monkey on Ebay was trying to sell "350BHP" chips for a fortune- I dont know if he sold any, but the maps only good for the TVR 5ltr anyway, there is no such thing as a one chip fits all.

Thanks; it's the original chip from a 1997 model. I had thought it might have some value to someone re-fitting cats, as I suppose original chips are not available now, but if as you say they can just have their existing one reprogrammed then perhaps it has souvenir value only. Bum.
