For my sins I am a forty game a season sort of fan but please, a most emphatic no on this one. Football sites are to the very best of my experiences inhabited by any number if the following
• Weirdoes
• Kids
• Weirdo kids
• Scarfers
• Cyber hooligans
• Stato nerds
• People who think football was invented in 1992
• Any combination of the above
And after yet another bad weekend watching my lot of no hopers this place is solace and would be much better if it remained so.

I currently have no plans to implement one.
Good.
Having said that, it would be interesting to run a poll about the level of interest in footy.
I had a discussion with a friend where he said that very few petrolheads like footy at all. Whereas I think that the majority are interested, but not fanatical.
Or maybe it's just a waste of time, bearing in mind that the vast majority of members don't want a footy forum.

The FOOTBALL thread
Why not just keep "The Football thread" going in the Pub?, if you don't like football don't click on it.....
Simple.
No, no and thrice NO!
We get football rammed down our throtes 7 days a week as it is. Lets have a small bastion of serenity here in the ether.
Let the lager swilling, pot bellied football lovers stick to reading the Sun for their pleasures.
Tim
PS: Don't feel strongly about this at all.
