I'll be there in a red Sylva Riot. Happy to go swapsies on a passenger ride if anyone fancies it. The weather looks ok

Great weather, however as to be the most red flags I have ever seen since I visited a flag factory, no less than 5 times I sat in the holding area (which seemed very busy all day) to finally be released onto track and not even make a full lap before the reds came out and straight back in.
Aside from that car went well until just before lunch when the battery decided to give up, started randomly cutting out, luckily had a multi meter with me (don't know what made me put it in) I could detect what I thought was a battery drain and went looking for that, eventually with battery disconnected to rule out anything amiss on the car the battery would read 13v then 6 then 10 whatever it fancied, quick blast down to LMT motorcycles in Louth, (he had a proper tester confirmed it had failed) £45 changed hands new battery fitted problem solved for the rest of the day.
Just a shame about the reds, how many where there in total ?
Who was that a photo/advert of in the bogs ? Anyone else see it, I took a snap on my phone made me chuckle.

Probably one of the worsted track days I have ever done !! I counted 4 red flags before 11 o'clock and when I left at 4 I lost count at 10 !!
along with queuing to get on track when it was open it was plain silly and must have been massively over subscribed , at one stage I sat in the queue to get on for 10mins with 31 cars on the track and another 7 waiting to get on did 2 laps in massive traffic and just came off and sat in he pits and waited . first time I have done a circuit days track day and was pretty disappointed .
only saving grace was the std of driving which was very good and people moved over when ever they could .

Agreed with the flags! I managed one whole lap to warm up then the red flag came out. I then went back to the line and waited for a while got back on the track did one corner and then another red flag came out! I then decided to have a coffee and bacon roll instead. Numerous red flags later (lost count) I managed some good laps before lunch. I also left at 4 feeling good about starting to learn some lines at cadwell but also frustrated with lots of waiting. Amazing weather though

I had a great day only finished slightly earlier due to the fact the tyres had shredded. Yes there were a few red flags, but no more I would say than last time I was there. As for over subscribed not entirely sure that was the case I think at times the track was quite empty compared to what ive seen before, maybe its just me and I enjoy passing as many as I can and having a good battle :-) the only criticism I have really were the lack of blue flags even though we were told in the brief they were using them I never saw a single one all day and got held up a few times. Driving on the whole was pretty good just one or two silly manoeuvres were witnessed. Cadwell is definitely in my top 3 tracks ive visited and the weather couldn't have been better!
I don't think it was over subscribed, seen more cars in the pits on other days, just that many red flags particularly before lunch meaning when the track was open everyone wanted to be on there.
Agree re driving to be fair didn't see anyone doing anything untoward don't recall getting held up either everyone I came across made it clear they knew I was there and let me through when safe to do so.
Think it was just one of those days, can't be pinned on the organisers door.
Cadwell is #1 in my top 3 UK circuits I thoroughly enjoy driving it and it suits my car perfectly.
