Power steering to a 400

Does anybody know wether it's possible to fit power steering to a '92 4.0 lt Griff ?

If so, is this an expensive option or is worth leaving as it is. I've had 500's before with p/s but have seen nice 400 without it. As the car is going to be the wife's Xmas present I need to know wether it's worth going down this route or leave it alone.
Having never driven one without p/s I need some advice from someone who has.

I have a Griff 500 non PAS, and apart from parking my girl friend has no problem with it. After a while you don't even notice it. I considered having a second hand stystem fitted, when I bought the car,( about £600 ) but nobody could source a rack, so I gave up.

The rack is a bespoke item.

I went from a 400 with PAS to a 500 without, only notice the difference when parking it in the garage. The steering rack on the non PAS is not quite as quick lock to lock (2.2 turns on a PAS / 2.4 on non-PAS) This difference in ratios compensates for the PAS a bit.

My 4.0l Chim does not have PAS and yes it is a bit of a bugger to park. Look on the bright side, with all that upper body exercise she will significantly increase uplift and drastically reduce the chance of bingo wings .

Go for it, and if she complains about the power steering just tell her the above! Trust me it will work.

I also have a nonPAS 400 Chim and after driving it for a couple of days was searching these very forums for ideas on how to get PAS fitted.

After about a month it was no longer noticeable. Even general parking is ok, the only times I've noticed the difference is when a couple of tossers have blocked me in and it takes a few to's and fro's to get out of a space

Looks like a non-pas it is. It should like nice next to the Noble after a Xmas day blast on slightly quieter roads during the Queens speech.
