Links within front page articles not working

Whenever I read an article from the front page, I am unable to click on any links within it.

For example, todays shed of the week:
http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyI...

"Here's the ad", "Tony Middlehurst", "22 Comments on this story" and the "Tweet" links/buttons do not work

This is in both IE11 & the latest version of google chrome, with old website header style. Using the new and unimproved header this problem doesn't happen.

Well, that's incredibly unhelpful for old header users.
