It is rather pleasant looking, but would never have one until they were priced sensibly.

I like the Milgauss but you can't see the mechanism and for a grand less I bought an Omega Gauss. The omega also has the benefit of being a bit slimmer.

Really like that new colour scheme though

I like the way they have done the second hand, like a lightning bolt.

The blue face and green work really well, might have to see about changing my earlier lv milgauss for this model

Yes the blue green and orange somehow work. I really must buy a lottery ticket tomorrow.

I see this one on tz-uk has now sold, for I'd guess around £20,000

Makes me think of how much I miss mine frown Sold it quite a few years back (it had been handed down from grandfather to father to me), fairly decent amount as well - not quite £20k though.

The originals are absolutely brilliant timepieces. The new models, whilst technically no doubt an excellent watch, aren't a patch on the original. Although the reintroduced models are the main reason for the increased price of the originals.

I do like the Milgauss and I think the blue really works. Not so keen on the polished bits and never been completely sold on the second hand. Would have been nice if Rolex had upped the tech. spec. on this as well, but I guess then they'd also have to change the name to 'something else'gauss.

The original is definitely still the best ...

Why would they not be a patch on the original? You think the quality of the new model does not match the older model?

They just aren't the original milgauss, which was originally a relatively unloved and forgotten watch. It was reintroduced and suddenly became trendy. It is probably similar to the old vs new beetle. New one is technically better, but lacks the charm of the original.

Having seen the original, I prefer the new model. If as you say its technically better, sounds good to me.

I'm thinking more that its like comparing a Ferrari 250 against a new California. Both great cars, but the original is always the best smile

I really want to see the 2014 blue face in real life. I have the GV and love it. My only slight criticism is the polished centre on the clasp has picked up a few light scratches but I guess that's inevitable. Go on get one!
