Be used as DRLs? I'm concerned that the massive heatsink means they're not ideal for continuous use.

Those lights you linked to in your OP will most likely have an incorrect beam pattern anyway (if DRLs have a beam pattern).

Individual leds look like chintsy diamonds or ghey sequins added where they should not be, like vagazzling your car. If you can find oem style diffuser, they aren't too bad. DRL already look dated though IMO

at £54 quid a pop, I'd like to see the detailed spec which might tell you the expected life not to mention lumens output.

According to your profile, you have a Noble. I wouldn't imagine people not seeing you would be enough of a problem to fit DRLs!

They are indeed for the Noble, it has the same type/size of lamp at the front for indicators but I thought I'd relocate those and have DRLs in place rather than mounting something elsewhere.

The problem I find is some motorists gawp or gaze into their mirrors rather than look where they're going so I'd like to 'be seen' from a further distance. I often drive with my headlights on in daylight.
