Water ingress - nearly sorted!

Note: I've posted this on the Facebook group, so excuse the re-post for those who frequent both forums.

Hi all - still battling a water ingress issue in my boot. Sorted the right hand side (leaking around the hinge bolt) but the left hand side is now getting damp. The damp/moisture can be felt around the back side of the rear light cluster, and I think that's the source (the carpet directly under the plastic overhang is the dampest part).
Where would water be getting onto the lamp cluster from?
I can see a tiny 0.5mm gap around 2cm long where the silkaflex has split away from the body - would that be enough to let the pesky water in?
