Tyres purchased online from Germany

Hi, this is my first posting, i have bought tyres from a company who are German based. I had problems with delivery. After two weeks i asked for my money back but after several promises my money has not been returned. My question is? is there anything i can do? has anyone else had problems or similar when asking for funds to be returned. They only supply an email address that they never answer but no phone number. I have paid for tyres that have not been delivered and have no money to buy new ones else where. help?

Did you pay with a credit card?

no id saved up for them so i paid with a card linked to my bank.

They have a .co.uk Internet address and I mistakenly thought they were a UK company when I bought tyres from them. I know PH has a strong no naming and shaming policy so all I can say is that I would not use them again.

Talk to your bank, if your is a visa debit card as lots are here. They can do a chargeback against the company.
Even if its not - talk to your bank, they could help.

think it all depends if they have the tyres in stock. if they don't they will search for them which takes weeks, if they can't find them they will then refund them. i was warned about this after i bought some for my f150 lightning which are a very rare size, but they did turn up after a couple of weeks direct from germany. have they not given you a tracking number?

Are they sending them over from Germany? If so, could they be stuck at customs?

Should have used your credit card and then used your 'savings' to pay off the card.

I'd rather a fraudster went to town with my credit card than my own money in the bank.

Using a credit card does not necessarily mean you do not have the ability to pay!

How old is old? Wasn't the DOT code on the listing. A quick glance seems to suggest that 2011 stock and older is clearly listed with the DOT year.

If it's the company I'm thinking of, I don't think they're deliberately bad/dishonest, they're just a bit sloppy and have a slightly strange business model. (ze crazy germans)

(I've had issues with them in the past when I've been replacing mytyres on mycar)

I was looking at the leaders of tyre sales not the sellers of my tyres.
