Has anyone got an idiots guide to fitting Lupo headlights DIY.
Do they fit from the rear or the front, is the any changes to the wiring required?
What's the best way of securing them?

No Sikaflex needed as they can be bolted in with a couple of simple mods to the headlight and a bracket bonded to the inner wing, no sealing needed around the lense which means if they get damaged you can unbolt and replace.

Where's the best place to get them? And how easy are they to wire up?

very easy to wire up if you also get the last few inches of the vw lighting loom as this includes a multipin connector which you can fit directly to the chim wiring. There are two or three superfluous wires for the adjusting motor but otherwise a common earth and threelives - one for side, one for dipped and one full. This is like for like what you will find in the chim.

Otherwise you can drill a hole in the back of the lupo unit and splice directly into the units wiring.

You can get them new for £60 or so each - look on ebay (bosch or magnetti). I'd stay clear of used ones, i bought a couple that looked great but the lenses were pitted and grazed from stone chips (lupos are old cars now).

I like the idea of a bracket, so mill fan something up. I'll use existing wiring and drip a hole in the back.
Is it best to cut the arch and access from the rear or remove the light, make the hole bigger and come in through the front?
