In all seriousness - what would have been the purpose of this plate? Just one of many railway artefacts my late father picked up over the years that I now need to dispose of. It may just be a simple bridge plate but the S200 marking is unusual

It's a Great Northern Railway bridge plate, probably from somewhere along the East Coast Mainline, not sure what the 'S200' mark refers to though, sorry.

It's a racing number plate from Gerald Walter Roger's Honda S2000 race car, number 33.

The bloke who did the casting left a 'zero' off, but it was too late to change it before the race.

Culverts are structures that allow water to flow underneath roads / railways etc

Great work. Thank you - that's amazing that things like the name plate off a Schools Class would only go for 160 quid. I guess there's a lot more of this stuff lying around then you'd think. - Doh- edited to add it was repo.

I have a few things but not nameplates!

Huge amount of books from the day, random stuff like destination boards - which I'll actually probably keep, lots of photos which I guess are unpublished.

He was a fireman on the Southern in the early 60s.
