Looks that way but I didn't know the Mary Tyler Moore family was into tuning RS4's... Fine choice of pork btw. Forgot to say - welcome to the farm

Congrats on the new car. As you say totally different to your RS4, which in itself is a great car. A few people on this forum had a run in a 600bhp RS4 driven by a powersliding nutter called Andy, when he and a few of his mates in other RS4s attended an VMAX airfield day with a load of us.

I was the founding member of RS246 and know Andy law very well, and his car, one of a kind.
Tried a couple of times to get to VMax, Martin Roberts anothe 996TT owner and RS4 owner was always trying to get me there.
Colour is Atlas Grey Metallic and its a MKII 04, looking to get it on the track as soon as i can make it...
Watches are my little passion, IWC, Rolex,Panerai, mainly with a few oddities theown in.
PH discounts on already discounted products....
Hmmm i dont think so

I know Martin (Mart1n on PH), he's recently switched over from a 996tt X50 to a GT3RS. He's been to most of the VMAX days including the very first one and the most recent.

Any idea what car Andy (andiroo on PH)changed to as I remember seeing his RS4 for sale a while ago?

I believe Andy has been spotted in a 934GT2 hybrid: a race car that he has converted to be road legal.

In a concession to road legality he has apparently removed the stickers...

Rumour has it early March may be the next one. So what is the spec of your new porsche or do we have to wait and guess on the day?

From memory Mart1n's GT3RS was 4mph slower than my car at the last VMAX (174 and 178). I've previously had 192 with less braking area and a very very strong tailwind. I'd guess a regular GT3 would have been within 2 or 3mph of Mart1n's speed.

Hey Daz, not wanting to hijack JR's thread, but in brief we are not quite sure of the spec...... it was built by the chap at G-Force about 10years ago, unfortunately he is no longer with us. Raced over the last three years by Mark Littlejohn in the same series as Richard Chamberlain, it is currently around the 520bhp mark with 0.95 boost, but only mapped to 5krpm (old Zytek management).

Chassis is a '80 930 turbo with a 930 twin-plug (dizzys at 1 'clock and 7 o'clock) with twin MSD's, 3.4 barrels, motorsport heads, Garretson GT2 cams, Carrera intake, twin wastegastes, single hybrid Garret, quaiffe diff, 935 clutch, 4 speed box (lol...), rose jointed suspension, AP6pots front and AP4pot rear, 120litre FIA tank, GT2Evo bodywork etc etc (- but strangely enough it hasn't got one of those hooks in the back to hang me jacket)

The new engine spec for over the winter is currently being discussed with a few notable specialists as I haven't stripped down to the current crank and rods just yet to see what we've got. Will start a new thread when I've decided which way to go

I think they're only good for around 180mph max - the spoiler and aerokit make a significant difference at these speeds, but GT3s are designed for cornering rather than max speed anyway.

I got 192mph on the clock in my GT3 a few months ago, and i'm sure it still had a bit to go, what do you reckon the actual speed would have been ?

From driving through the laser trap at Bruntingthorpe, the speedo of my 996tt is overreading by 4mph at those speeds. Which is pretty impresssive in comparison to the lack of accuracy shown by some other makes.
