Hi just wondering how people have sealed their manifold/downpipes to the Cat collector on an R500 system? One branch (top nearest bodywork) blows a fair bit now and having tried everything else to cure my "tappety" noise including DVA overhauling the followers I can't think of anything else to try.

Cheers

The collector is sleeved, so it is unlikely to be leaking enough to be a problem, but you can use a little RTV sealant if it bothers you. But keep it to a minimum as the lambda probe and CAT may not like burning silicone sealant if it gets in to the exhaust.

Carefully expand the inner flange of the 'inner' pipe a piece of rounded wood would do the trick (minimum expansion should do the trick to much and it will not insert)........I dunno we seem to be loosing lots of basic skills these days, dont use sealant its messy and was not part of the original design
