Three cars from us on there as well (Jaguar, Tiger and a reasonably priced car!) and suspect we'll be seeing the Viper gang at the TL site as well! Can't join your convoy as we've a lunch stop planned with family off the A84 so we'll be heading West from the terminal and coming in to Le Mans late afternoon.

Lets hope it's a smooth crossing, not called the vomit comet for nothing! smile

I have had to stand out back on the balcony and concentrate on the horizon in the past, that seemed to work.

You know it's bad when the outside deck is rammed and the only people inside are lining up outside the 'facilities!

Look at it this way, we sail from Portsmouth following in the Historic footsteps of all those young British Canadian, American and French soldiers who not only had to endure being on ships but then had to embark at sea onto flat bottomed landing craft, not only did they have to endure sea sickness they then had to face machine guns, barbed wire, land and sea mines so that we could carry onto Le mans

So if I feel a bit rough on a fastcraft, I will be thinking of those brave souls who liberated Europe wink

THANK YOU to all those that served, NOT forgotten.

Mmmm, not sure I like the sound of that, I'm on the same craft but on the Cherbourg route the morning before; very little point in having a full English in Portsmouth before we get on board then...

Travel sea sickness pills really help but read the instructions, some of them you have to take a couple of hours before travelling wink Its not always rough, and sometimes food helpes wink

I've used that boat loads of times, it just has a slightly odd corkscrew motion in some conditions which sets off the ill feeling. However, it's only three hours so well worth it and on a calm day, a brilliant way to do the trip.

Totally agree with the landing craft observation, we don't know we're born!

We shall be on that one as well.

Sat Nav to Gace for lunch then a leisurely drive through the countryside by map to Bounty Lakes.

What can go wrong!
