Meta Alarm system
Discussion
Anyone know if an M99T Alarm system can disarm an M36T2 immobiliser? Been like this since I got the car, can only disarm immobiliser with the touchkey but it'd be nice if I could do this when unlocking it too? I can only assume the original M36T immobiliser failed in the past and has been replaced but not linked to the Alarm system.
Looking on-line it looks like I may have to replace both units to get them working together at a cost of £275, bit steep just to save a few seconds everytime I want to start the car. Thought it worth an ask of the collective brains on here.
P.S. Before anyone says it, yes I have e-mailed Carl Baker too :-)

When mine started playing up I had it ripped out and had a Viper alarm put in (pretty much the same as a Clifford). It came with a nice Pager remote too (limited range, but handy when the car is parked outside the venue you are at).
Had it fitted for £300 but I will need to dig out the details if you are interested.
Viper/Clifford seem to have a good reputation if fitted by a decent installer, so it was a no-brainer to tear out the dodgy old standard system
Sorry it doesn't really answer your question, but just an option if you do decide to replace it
