Got some for the first time the at the weekend. Dogs love it but it smells like the inside of a cows arse. That is all. Carry on.

We feed ours tripe twice a week, pick a few hundred lb in weight up every week from the abattoir. Feed sheep tripe whole stomach not minced.

Did you get it fresh or from some "dog food" company and minced?

I get it fresh, as in I get the whole stomach and cut it up myself. It doesn't smell too bad..

Minced stuff in packs. Seems OK but I will probably revert back to meat from the butchers. There is no big chunks of bone in the packs that they can chew on which removes the dental hygiene element that the BARF/RAW diet provides.

I have tried for ages to get it "fresh" and "as is" but I simply cannot get hold of any.

Not sure if you are on Facebook but there is a Raw food page on there, join it and they have lists of places that are licensed to sell green trip as it is, fresh.

I get it as soon as the animals slaughtered, like mine to tear and chew so feed whole. Got an industrial mincer but never use it.

Do you rescue them? That's a lot of dogs for anyone, even a breeder!! I'm guessing they don't live in your house, unless you have a mansion of course smile.

No wonder you get through so much tripe!

No don't rescue just dogs i keep, always keep back from litters and just escalated really. Not even had a litter this year first one is due on the weekend.

Live on a farm got lots of animals.

They all live outside in the kennels. Not the best pic.

Lots of space for them and the horse manage is 50 metres by 20 metres where they play a lot.

That's impressive, nice dogs, hate to think what their food bill is! You're lucky to have access to an abattoir I guess. Most people struggle to get hold of green tripe.
