I am struggling to find the plastic part that fits over the heater slider on my SEAC. Below is the picture of the central dash, showing the heater sliders, one fitted and one missing

Can help me in finding one for sale or alternatively let me know what the part number / manufacturer it was sourced from

I would most appreciate the help as it is a constant source of frustration

Many thanks in anticipation

Looks very similar to the throttle knob on my Hayter Harrier lawn mower.

Old Fords, right back to the Mk 1 Escort van, used such things... in fact I think the Tasmin's original heater sliders were lifted from the Escort van.

I had a similar problem when my Knob went missing

found a similar looking pair on the Fleabay -
chopped off the shaft
drilled holes in my knob
attached to back to TVR shaft

Bit of work - but it got me a matching pair not too dissimilar from the original

I have been collecting various bits to match mine up too .... so far I have Fiesta, Capri, Escort, Cortina bits and I cannot get an exact match.

Im going to get a mate to knock me some up on his CNC Mill.

there are a few poeple on Ebay selling loads of buts that look as though they will fit, but you will find that the bit that sleeves over the shaft is too think on the TVR.

Thank you for all your help with this problem

I have looked at the various links you have shown me and spent the evening looking a parts websites for Mark 4/5 Cortina but as yet have not come across the specific part, they all look very similar though.

Does anyone know if there is someone from the factory or any documentation that could be specific on what car it is from and the specific part number?

Try and find a "Classic Ford" show or similar locally, wander around with the example in your hand
