Bought some dry ice 2 years ago which is perfect for keeping beer cold, cannot for the love of me remember where I got it from, anyone know any companies I could stop off at on the way down and pick some up?

heading down from Glasgow (M74/M6/M42/M40/A34) to Portsmouth on the Wednesday, happy to make a slight detour anywhere along the route.....

I bought from this company last time we took some, very helpful. Give him a call.

How would you use dry ice to keep beer cold?

a couple of ways, drop the dry ice into a bucket of water to bring the water down to just above freezing, keeps everything cold, use it in cool boxes to get thins very cold, place in among some beer in a rucksack to keep beer cold for hours as you wander round.

Also placing a lump into a water bottle half filled up and then screwing the lid on makes a rather good banger.

We dont need this anymore as we take barrels of ale from the UK

I'm using Ice Immediate in Egham. Just off J13 of M25 (will probably take you 15 minutes round trip to swing by and pick up).

Use them for the last few years and reccomend them. Upgraded to a fridge this year though! :-)

That's one hell of a journey. How come you didn't opt for a Newcastle or Hull crossing? I'm near Manchester & couldn't face a 300mile schlep to the South coast.
