Since buying my chim 7 years ago, my daily drive has been Lexus for their reliability I'm Now on a Gs300, lovely comfy armchair but exhaust has corroded & £700 for part alone. Hopefully being welding up for less than £100 but this still makes my chim more reliable by far. I should sell the Lexus & run the tvr as a daily .

A Chim isn't much fun during a cold winter and can/ will deteriorate much quicker with daily use, your running costs will increase but it's not impossible and many chaps on here run their cars all year without drama.

It would probably continue to be pretty reliable, but I don't think it's the best way to enjoy it. This time of year wouldn't be too bad, but the winters would soon grate on me.

Great chance to buy a shed although at the moment I am cycling to work. Keeps me fit and saves fuel money for the Chimaera :-)

No, don't do it! biggrin

Over the past five years there have been a couple of occasions where the Chim has been my only car. It's fine in the summer, but the winter is awful in it and I started really hating it. Went and bought a £900 Rover 75 which has done the daily stuff admirably.

Unfortunately the 75 got written off the other day and the Chim, once again, is now back as my everyday car. I'll stick it out until Autumn but there's not a chance it will be driven over the winter!
