Going by train is going to mean leaving early so wondering if there is parking available near the ground & what is the best way to get there from the M54 direction?
Very easy to get in from M54, straight down the M6 then through Spaghetti Junction & onto the a38. You could probably park in town and then bus it/taxi it down. Have a look at this too
