I need to fit 4 outdoor speakers, the ones of choice (not by me) are the Bose 151s you get a 5 year warranty from Sumners with them.

However they are quite pricey £260 a pair and the lead time is about a week to get them, from Belgium apparently and they need to be in for a party on Saturday. What other makes does anyone recommend that I could get in the Northwest area this week.

I have found some camebride audio ES20 ones at richer sounds that have a decent review but not too sure on the stock until tomorrow.

I have used these Yamaha ones

In several large court yards (nursing homes)

I was very impressed with the sound quality especially the bass considering they are only 6.5 inch drivers.

However, they aren't small and the grills fell off in the hot sun but easily neatly glued back on.

To be honest, £260 isnt pricey at all for good waterproof out door speakers.

Sonance doesnt fall into the price range,

Monitor Audio would do with their Climate Range, but pig ugly, RRP £260 for the CL50 range and £350 for the CL60's

PH Discount always applies.

Thanks for replying VEX, how soon could I get the monitor audio ones off you? also what are the Bose ones like, I have read a few mixed reviews saying they are a bit tinny, I need some reasoning to convince the bloke to go for something else.

MA stuff should be next day.

Sound wise, they should be good, may be a little tinny, but with out a bass box outside anything is going to sound tinny 'cause the bass has nothing to bounce off.

Mate of mine asked the same question last year. Went with two play5's which go in and out of the house.

Thanks for the replies, and VEX. I managed to get 2 pairs of Bose 151s for £250 a pair this morning from a Bose dealer, had them sat right there on the shelf, not in Belgium.
