a19 recommendation please

I don't suppose anyone knows of anywhere on / near the a19 North of York which would be good for brunch on Saturday do they?

Unfortunately no greasy spoons (not my rules!) please!

Man up. Tell the Mrs that grease is mandatory. Ideally you want to be so close to the road that the filth-van you buy from is rocking around due to HGVs passing at close proximity.

Tea should be served in polystyrene cups.

Another vote for Crab and Lobster but the Dawnay Arms in Newton on Ouse, c10min drive off the a19, is quite nice too. Used to wash up their back in my youth but now gone a bit more gourmet according to the sister. You also go past the Sidings if your in to trains though not sure on the food as been years since I've been.

I reckon I've eaten in such fine establishments with you. The type where the chairs are bolted to the floor.

Not sure to be honest, although they are have quite a lot of rooms and lodges I would have thought they provide breakfast or brunch.
