Witnessed deliberate crash this morning
Discussion
Today I saw someone deliberately drive their car into someone else’s car.
The traffic around Westminster is shocking today due to various road closures, and it must have been pretty stressful stuck in that in a car. But what I witnessed was nothing short of brain-dead.
Long story short is that a guy in a Mercedes (mini-cab I think) is in the wrong lane, and is indicating to move into the correct lane to make a turn. He is aiming to get his car in front of a guy in a brand new Golf, who is deliberately trying to block his manoeuvre. When the traffic finally shuffles forward a few feet, the guy in the Golf simply rams the guy in the Mercedes, smashing into his rear wheel-arch. Unbelievable. All he managed to achieve was a massive argument and to block the road further.
I crept past on my motorcycle and drew it to the attention of a nearby policeman, who will hopefully throw the book at the retard in the Golf, who will no doubt claim it was the fault of the bloke in the Mercedes turning in front of him.

If there were no witnesses, the driver of the Golf would probably lie and say that he was correctly proceeding at a moderate speed and the other driver suddenly and without warning moved into his lane. The point of contact of the tow vehicles would probably support the Golf driver too.

Personally I think the moral of this story is that if someone is desperate to pull in, let 'em and if someone is desperate to not let you in, wait and go for a different gap. A small dose of pride really isn't worth a pretty futile argument.
Yes. Keep calm and try not to kill anyone.Fire99 said:

Sounds like both drivers behaved like idiots. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

nearly took my wing mirror off on a country lane this morning (well, did actually pop the glass off, leaving it dangling by the heater wire) - I thought for a minute you were the car behind me that witnessed it
