I might, actually. I wonder what tax bracket the 2.3 will be. That seems like the better choice (although I'd be more likely to have the V8).

If I was in the position, this would be behind a Camaro and and a Challenger. Couldn't decide between the Camaro and the Challenger though.

I would. V8 please. Just wish the new vette was RHD - especially the new Z06 - as that would be my first choice.

LHD no problem... until you combine it with vast width.

Personally, my favourite of the three is the Challenger, but since the Mustang will be UK-supplied and backed up by Ford's dealer network and right hand drive, that would have to be the one for me.

And all the Chrysler Jeep dealers I've ever known are fking awful from my Grand Cherokee experience.

I like what I've seen. I put my name down when the pre registration offer came up the other week... I don't think I made the list though. They said they had 9000 order/registrations in something like an hour and a half.

As the owner of a 2011 Mustang GT I'm gonna wait to see one in the flesh before passing final judgement. However, first impressions from the pictures are that it now just looks a bit to corporate Ford, European even and seems to have lost that hard edged muscle car look.... Like I say need to see one close up before deciding.

I think they're in danger of diluting what the Mustang is about by europeanising it. Is a paddle shift 4 pot really in keeping with the brand's heritage? Hopefully the Mustang badge doesn't get wed out to the point of BMW M badge so it loses all status.

They've always been available (and more popular) with the smaller engines and inefficient automatic gearboxes.

They will not be resurrecting the V6 that was discontinued in the Ford Sierra in 1985. (That is the last six-cylinder 2.3 that Ford did. They did do a 150 bhp four cylinder in the Galaxy, but it won't be that, either. It's a 2.3 litre version of the 2.0 turbo in the Focus ST, only with ~300 hp).

The first 2.3 litre turbocharged four cylinder Mustang was in 1986.



The first four cylinder Mustang was in 1974.

I think it'll be fine.

There was a 2.3 V6 Galaxy - it was dreadful. I had one as a pool car once.

The 2.3 in the Mustang is a 4 cylinder.

I can imagine in a couple years i might on lease but i'd have to seriously think about saving some money of a last of line current modal if i was buying. They just look more mustangy.
